However you found your way to this page, I am glad you are here.
Francesca Filippini is an Italian-American author and educator, passionate about hospitality before she even knew what it was. She has spent the last ten years in the restaurant, luxury wine & spirits, and high jewelry industries, leading restaurant floors to retail boutiques, speaking to classrooms and conference centers alike. Her mission is simple, "can she make you fall more in love with what you are learning? AND do you feel empowered enough to share that information with someone else?"
The Pasta Monologues, published in 2023, is her debut book - handwritten, then self published, over three years. It is a non-fiction book of vignettes of personal stories inspired by the love of her late grandmother, and one specific pasta recipe that inspired much more than memories around a table. This book was crafted with sole promise to donate 100% of all proceeds to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital for cancer research.
Pouring Perfection at Every Party: Pocket Guide to Wine, is Francesca's second book. A compendium of ten years of learning about wine, Francesca breaks down the basics for beginners, to novices, to oenophiles alike. After working years with the Moët Hennessy portfolio, she has taken the charm, sparkle, and brilliance of the wine world and hand pressed it down into an easy to read, digestible pocket guide.
All of her ideas, inspirations, and creative processes (and husband) are home based in Brooklyn, New York.
